 Un défi auquel beaucoup d'entre nous doivent faire face, en vieillissant ou si nous avons des problèmes de santé (ou parfois, en fonction de nos circonstances personnelles, plutôt que notre âge), c'est le besoin de gérer notre calendrier personnel pour des choses comme suivre les rendez-vous médicaux. Bien entendu, les mêmes principes s'appliquent au travail, aux anniversaires de toutes sortes, aux projets personnels et à une foule d'autres choses que nous aimerions suivre sur notre calendrier. Contrairement au Courrier de Microsoft sous Windows 10, Thunderbird n'a pas de calendrier intégré. Heureusement, l'extension Lightning a été développé pour remédier à ce problème et c'est un ajout important aux capacités de PIM de Thunderbird.

 You can click Download Now to start the installation. Now, I have an older version of Thunderbird and did not find it convenient to upgrade right now, so I had to take an extra step. I went to View older versions on the Thunderbird Add-on web page, and found the version that matched Thunderbird 52.2.1. I then downloaded the XPI format file and saved it to my Download folder.

+Afin de pouvoir installer l'extension Lightning de Thunderbird, il faut d'abord lancer Thunderbird. Allez au Dash (la première icône sur le lanceur, la bande le long du côté gauche de l'écran) et taper Thunder. Cela devrait suffire pour que les capacités de recherche du Dash affichent Thunderbird. Cliquez dessus pour le lancer et vous aurez votre client mail Thunderbird.

Quant à moi, j'ai une version plus ancienne de Thunderbird et ne juger pas commode une mise à niveau tout de suite, et j'ai ainsi dû passer par une étape supplémentaire. Je suis allé à Voir des versions plus anciennes sur la page web des Extensions de Thunderbird et j'ai trouvé la version qui allait avec Thunderbird 52.2.1. J'ai téléchargé le fichier XPI et l'ai enregistré dans mon dossier Téléchargements.
