Welcome to the latest issue of Full Circle

Once again, we have the usual suspects of Python, Inkscape, Krita and more Rawtherapee. To complete the HowTo trilogy we have a piece on putting Ubuntu (20.04) onto a 2-in-1 convertible laptop. You know the ones where it looks like a laptop, but you can fold the keyboard back to make it a tablet? Yeah, one of those. Did it work? Have a read and see.

Well, it seems that BSD has finally broken SJ. He's had enough of it and will, from next month, will revert back to his old Linux Loopback format. Hope fully, that will keep him sane.

Speaking of losing the plot, Richard has (it seems) finally had enough of Ubuntu 16.10 and (from this month) will be installing Ubuntu 20.04 and joining us in the real world. Welcome, Richard!

Last month we had reviews of Ubuntu, Lubuntu, and Ubuntu Budgie. To complete the family, we have reviews of Kubuntu and Xubuntu. Next month we'll have a review of a new kid on the block. One with a surprising twist. It's called Ubuntu Unity. Yes, that's right. It's a flavor of Ubuntu with the Unity desktop. It's not an official flavor yet, but apparently it uses the recent Ubports version of Unity (which was recently named Lomiri, so that confuses things even more).

Stay safe and well!

All the best, and keep in touch! Ronnie ronnie@fullcirclemagazine.org
