Deux cartes d'instructions provoquant un classement aléatoire furent placées dans la pile de cartes d'un ordinateur Univac. Ces cartes ne faisait que surcharger l'ordinateur avec des sorties élémentaires sans provoquer de dommages permanents. Quelqu'un revendiqua la responsabilité de l’incident et dut payer une amende modique. Consécutivement, l'université instaura une politique de surveillance des utilisateurs.
