+Suite à mon analyse des 17 alternatives de la liste, les deux seules qui prennent en charge Ubuntu sont Viber et Skype. Viber supporte également Fedora et d'autres distrib. basées sur RPM. Skype est récemment devenu compatible avec Linux. Étonnamment, il y a une troisième option, appelée Freetone, qui est disponible dans le Play Store de Google, ce qui signifie que Freetone pourrait éventuellement remplacer Google Voice sur l'OS Chrome. Mon Chromebook Toshiba recevra le Play Store de Google un peu plus tard dans l'année. Skype est très bien connu des consommateurs, mais Viber ne l'est pas.  There is one catch to using Freetone or Freetext, the services are not entirely free. The company relies on its users to watch mobile ads so the end user can accrue account credit. This credit is then used to pay off the WiFi phone use. However these services are tied only to your smartphone. Google Voice can be tied to your smartphone and landline.
