 The 2016 remake has been developed and published by Blazing Griffin and, as a Steam Early Access game, it is still a bit buggy so be advised and play at your own risk. Personally, I’ve only run into a couple of problems and, for the most part, the game has run pretty smooth.

-So, let’s get on to what this game is all about. Although it’s very much a first-person-shooter at its core, it’s also very much of a survival game. There are two goals in this game, the first goal is to eliminate/hunt/kill a very specific opponent. However, on the flip-side, you’re also being hunted by someone else (though realistically anyone else can target you), so this means you need to stay alive by any means necessary. With the exception of the World Leaders game modes, it can be fairly easy to stay alive not only by finding good hiding spots but also by disguising yourself so that whoever happens to be hunting you has a harder time spotting you when you no longer look like the person they’re after. While playing in one of the World Leaders game modes, it’s literally impossible to hide since ALL clothing items are unusable which makes disguises useless. On top of that, with the exception of a few lesser known world leaders, it’s way too easy to identify your quarry, and it’s also easy for your opponent to identify you as well.

Je n'ai pas été déçu.

There are Non-Playable-Characters throughout the ship – including cops/security guards. If you take out a weapon in front of one of these NPCs, you will most likely have to go to court, and if you don’t have enough money to pay the fine, you might also have to go to jail and serve some time. It is possible, however, to bribe the cops to look the other way if you have enough money to pay them off. If you do happen to land in jail, it might be a wise idea to take care of some of your daily needs such as eating, sleeping, showering, etc.

The cartoon-like graphics are pleasant to watch but not at all revolutionary. Game-play is pretty good and, given the many options from which to choose, this makes The Ship: Remastered a very flexible game. All sorts of players can find something worthwhile in this game but we should keep in mind that the game is still in beta mode. I definitely recommend this game, especially if you find it on sale.

+Il y a pas mal de choix à faire avant même de commencer à jouer, notamment Arcade, Join Cruise (participer à la croisière), Create Server (Cruise). Vous pouvez également sélectionner le type de jeu auquel vous voulez jouer : Hunt (aller à la chasse), Eliminate World Leaders (éliminer les dirigeants mondiaux), Hunt World Leaders (les pourchasser) et beaucoup plus encore. Vous pouvez aussi choisir votre navire parmi environ six possibilités et, naturellement, votre choix affectera la carte du navire. J'ai essayé de jouer au mode Arcade, contre l'ordinateur, et même au niveau moyen de difficulté, ce mode est très dur. Je me suis joint à d'autres joueurs via l'option Join Cruise, ce qui signifie essentiellement que vous rejoignez le serveur d'un autre joueur. Comme on pourrait s'y attendre, j'ai eu des résultats divers avec ce mode. Une fois, le jeu s'est complètement arrêté. D'autres fois, j'ai rejoignais des serveurs où j'étais seul avec l'hôte et j'ai rejoint d'autres serveurs où il y avait une pléthore de joueurs, ce qui rendait le jeu plus amusant et divertissant et, aussi, plus difficile à gagner. Avant de commencer, vous avez la possibilité de choisir la durée du jeu, ainsi que de régler quelques autres variables.

À l'exception des modes World Leaders, rester en vie peut être plutôt facile - en trouvant de bons endroits où vous cacher, mais aussi en vous déguisant afin que quiconque vous prend en chasse ait du mal à vous apercevoir car vous ne ressemblez plus à la personne qu'il cherche. En jouant à l'un des modes World Leaders, il est littéralement impossible de vous cacher OU de vous déguiser, car TOUS les éléments vestimentaires sont inutilisables. Qui plus est, à l'exception de quelques dirigeants mondiaux moins bien connus, il est beaucoup trop facile d'identifier votre proie et, par conséquent, votre adversaire peut vous identifier facilement aussi.

Libre à vous de tuer d'autres joueurs pendant que vous pistez votre proie ; cependant, si vous le faites, cela vous coûtera de l'argent, alors que si vous vous concentrez sur votre proie en particulier, vous aurez une bonne récompense financière. Partout sur le navire, il y a des Non-Playable-Characters (personnages non jouables), y compris des flics et des agents de sécurité. Si vous sortez une arme devant un de ces NPC, vous devrez sans doute passer au tribunal et, si vous n'avez pas assez d'argent pour payer votre amende, vous pourriez vous retrouver en prison. Toutefois, il est possible de donner des pots de vin aux flics pour les convaincre de vous ignorer, si vous avez assez d'argent pour ce faire. Si vous vous retrouvez en prison à un moment quelconque, ce serait sans doute une bonne idée de pourvoir à certains de vos besoins quotidiens, tels que manger, dormir, prendre une douche, etc.

+Tout compte fait, ce jeu est très amusant. C'est essentiellement un vieux jeu, mais cette nouvelle édition remastérisée en HD l'améliore quelque peu, notamment les graphismes, et la mise à jour World Leaders ajoute de nouveaux personnages aussi. Les graphismes, de type dessin animé, sont agréables à regarder, mais pas du tout révolutionnaires. La bande son est bonne et les bruitages sont très efficaces et semblent plus ou moins réalistes, mais les interprétations vocales manquent. La jouabilité est assez bonne et, étant donné toutes les options que vous pouvez choisir, rend très flexible le jeu The Ship: Remastered. Toutes sortes de joueurs peuvent trouver dans ce jeu quelque chose d'intéressant, mais nous devons gardons à l'esprit que le jeu est toujours en mode bêta. Je recommande ce jeu sans réserve, surtout si vous le trouvez en solde.
