 I switched from Ubuntu to Ubuntu Gnome back in 2013, so I'm ready for the transition! I use two Gnome Shell extensions: Dash to Dock and TopIcons Plus using the default icon set and theme.

 Over the 25 years, our large group of fishermen dwindled… for many reasons, but the primary reason was we had gotten old and many had passed away. Then the depression hit, and many of the camps had to close due to lack of business, and when my boat partner suddenly passed away; it took the starch right out of me.
-I still have the memories,, and my desktop is a shot of one of those memories that reminds me of all the good times I've had with my fellow fishermen, and my son as he was growing up. I would encourage all of you to explore with your family members, and then, later when life starts to catch up with you… put a few of those memories on your desktop and share.

However, for some reason there was a memory leak, or at least appeared to be. So that's why I am back to Unity. So I access programs via Cairo-Dock, or by using the <super> key and typing a few letters. This is my favourite, and also the fastest way to launch programs (or look for files). I use the dark Vivacious-z Blackout-teal theme with Vibrancy Dark Teal Icons.

+Il y a trente ans, un groupe de gars a décidé de se réunir et d'aller pêcher très loin vers le nord. Notre premier voyage était une telle réussite que nous avons décidé d'y aller à nouveau l'année suivante. Nous y sommes allés année après année, rejoints par quelques nouveaux tandis que d'autres membres du groupe sont restés sur place à cause de conflits au travail, mariages dans la famille, ou quelques problèmes de santé, sans doute. Beaucoup ont amené leurs fils dans cette aventure, leur présentant la pêche aux très gros poissons en eau douce.

 People may think my desktop is too cluttered, but it works for me as I use it like a photo album (my family and friends). The Time/Weather widget is from My Weather indicator. The CPU/RAM graphs are from Screenlets, as is the flower... I managed to keep this one alive, LOL.

+Bon. Ce que vous voyez est le bureau d'Unity. Le lanceur est masqué et paramétré pour ne pas s'ouvrir quand vous bougez la souris. J'avais essayé Unity-Gnome et son fonctionnement m'avait plu. Cependant, pour une raison mystérieuse, il y avait, ou semblait y avoir, une fuite de mémoire. C'est pour cela que je suis revenu à Unity. Ainsi, j'accède aux programmes via cairo-Dock ou en me servant de la touche <super> et en tapant quelques lettres. Cette façon de lancer des programmes (ou de chercher des fichiers) est ma favorite et également la plus rapide. J'utilise le thème sombre Vivacious-z Blackout-teal avec les icônes Vibrancy Dark Teal.
+Certains pourraient trouver mon bureau trop encombré, mais cela me va bien, car je l'utilise comme un album de photos (de ma famille et mes amis). Le gadget Time/Weather (temps/météo) vient de l'indicateur My Weather. Les graphiques CPU/RAM viennent de Screenlets, tout comme la fleur... que j'ai réussi à garder en vie, Lol.
