 When you open pyRenamer, a simple interface opens. The first step is to find the folder pathway to the file batch that needs to be renamed. This is the upper left third of the interface. The upper third pane is the preview of what the files will be changed too. The bottom portion is the program command options. The Patterns tab will identify a naming scheme and will automatically change the filenames. If there is one file there you want to name, you can do a manual rename. I did not have images to name, so I am unsure of this tab. I found the easiest and most useful tabs were the insert/delete and substitutions. I can easily insert or delete words or characters to make a standardized filename.

+Une recherche simple dans le centre de logiciels m'a donné Krename et pyRenamer. Krename est une appli du bureau KDE. Une documentation existe sur elle, mais l'interface n'était pas facile. J'ai choisi pyRenamer à cause de son interface qui est plus facile pour un nouvel utilisateur. Elle fonctionne bien et propose un volet d'aperçu pour assurer le contrôle qualité.
+Au lancement de pyRenamer, une interface simple s'ouvre. D'abord, il faut trouver le chemin vers le dossier qui contient le lot de fichiers qui doivent être renommés. Cela se trouve dans le tiers de l'interface en haut à gauche. Le volet du tiers du haut est l'aperçu de ce que les fichiers deviendront. En bas vous trouvez les options de commande du programme. L'onglet Patterns (modèles) identifiera un schéma d'appellation et modifiera le nom des fichiers automatiquement. Si vous ne voulez renommer qu'un seul fichier, il est possible de le faire à la main. Je n'avais pas d'images à nommer ; aussi je ne connais pas grand chose à cet onglet. J'ai trouvé que les onglets les plus faciles et les plus utiles était ceux d'insertion/suppression et de substitution. Je peux facilement insérer ou supprimer des mots ou des caractères pour créer un nom de fichier standardisé.
