+Et alors, Linux Mint est arrivé et je n'ai pas regardé en arrière, surtout quand Ubuntu est passé à l'affreux bureau Unity et commençait à perdre des parts de marché. Mint est livré avec tout ce dont j'ai besoin et très peu de choses qui ne me sont pas nécessaires. Il a même une chouette fonctionnalité de mise à jour pour les imbéciles comme moi, qui oublient de vérifier ça de temps en temps.

 I opted to try mine on all old 80GB HDD I had left over from my Windows 7 days and installation wasn’t anything painful or slow.  In fact, from start to finish took the usual 20 minutes or so and I imagine that time would have been cut substantially had I been using a USB drive to SSD instead.

+J'ai choisi de l'essayer sur un vieux disque dur de 80 Go qui me restait depuis l'époque de Windows 7 et l'installation n'était ni douloureuse ni lente. En fait, du départ à la fin, il fallait les quelque 20 minutes habituelles et je suppose que le temps aurait diminué sensiblement si j'avais, à la place, utilisé une clé USB vers un SSD.
+Une fois installé, le démarrage se fait rapidement en 20 secondes ou moins, ce qui est étonnant étant donné que je l'utilise sur une « bête de somme » de 7 ans, un Dell e6430 et le disque dur tourne « lentement » à 5 400 RPM.
