 In this issue, I would like to introduce you to some of the fringe games out there that work well on Linux. I started looking into Python programs, to try and understand how one goes from knowing all the basic stuff, taking the next step, and making something useful, when I stumbled across this. This little python game is surprisingly fun, easy to figure out, and all the code is available for you to play with. Don't like the graphics? Change the .png files, it's that simple.

Then a roll of the dice decides their - and your - fate. Your Dice are black and the victim's dice are white. Succeed too many times and the Police get on your case, each policeman adds detection points. All the names are gag names, but beware when Liam Nooson gets on your case. He will find you and he will get you! ( Unless you are extremely lucky.) Liam Nooson has 5 detection points, the highest of any detective.

+Dans ce numéro, j'aimerais vous présenter certains des jeux marginaux existants qui fonctionnent bien sous Linux. J'investiguais des programmes dans Python, pour essayer de comprendre comment l'on fait pour passer d'une connaissance des bases à l'étape suivante, la création de quelque chose d'utile, quand je suis tombé par hasard sur ceci. Ce petit jeu Python est étonnamment amusant, facile à comprendre et tout le code est disponible pour que vous puissiez jouer avec. Vous n'aimez pas les graphismes ? Changer les fichiers .png ; c'est aussi simple que ça.

 In truth, there is nothing more satisfying than dropping a piano on a boat to kill 'Tungsten Tom' - the toughest character in the game with Miss Maple on your trail, and then getting away with it. With each level you finish (contract you kill, if you pardon my French ) the game ramps up the difficulty, so much so that if you do manage to eliminate all the people on your contract list, you will end with: "well, I never thought anyone would get this far." Yes, I have mentioned the game is incomplete, but do not let this stop you!

 This is not a game review, per se, rather an invitation, as the game will never be completed. Take a few minutes and play a game or two or ten, you will not regret it!

+Vous devez tuer sept personnes et vous devez choisir un lieu, une arme et une carte d'attaque. Vous avez la possibilité de choisir une deuxième carte d'attaque et la « cible » reçoit des cartes de défense. Ensuite, un lancé de dés décide de leur - et votre - destin. Vos dés sont noirs et ceux de la victime sont blancs. Réussir trop de fois et la Police commence à vous soupçonner ; chaque policier ajoute des points de détection. Tous les noms sont des blagues, mais faites bien attention quand Liam Nooson commence à vous rechercher. Il vous trouvera et vous arrêtera ! (Sauf si vous avez beaucoup de chance.) Liam Nooson a 5 points de détection, plus que tout autre détective.
+En tout honnêteté, rien n'est plus satisfaisant que de faire tomber un piano sur un bateau et de ne pas être pris. Quand vous terminez un niveau (ou tuez votre cible - je vous demande pardon pour ma brutalité), le jeu augmente sa difficulté, à un point tel que, si vous réussissez à éliminer tous les gens sur votre liste de cibles, vous verrez : « Eh, beh, je ne pensais pas que quiconque y arriverait. » Oui, j'ai mentionné que le jeu est incomplet, mais ne vous laissez pas décourager !
+Ceci n'est pas en soi une critique de jeu, mais plutôt une invitation, car le jeu ne sera jamais achevé. Prenez quelques minutes et jouez-y une fois, ou deux, ou dix, et vous ne le regretterez pas !
+Cela étant dit, pourquoi ne pas achever le jeu vous-même et démontrer votre prouesse avec Python ?
