 Oddly, Lubuntu no longer comes with a webcam application, although Guvcview and Cheese are available in the repositories. Not having webcam software installed by default may make some users feel more secure about the risk of unauthorized camera access, although this doesn’t seem to have been an issue with Linux in the past.

Je n’aime pas trop les thèmes sombres et le bureau LXQt de Lubuntu est livré avec un panneau (barre des tâches) et un thème de fenêtres noir « Lubuntu Arc » par défaut, mais changer cela est rapide et facile. Le panneau peut même être positionné en haut ou à droite ou à gauche de l’écran si vous n’aimez pas la position en bas par défaut.

+Cela vaut le coup de mentionner qu’à partir de Lubuntu 18.10 les développeurs ne font plus de recommandations de système prérequis bien qu’un strict minimum de 500 Mo de RAM soit nécessaire pour l’installation. D’après mes expériences, n’importe quel ordinateur 64-bit avec au moins un processeur à double cœur et 2 Go de RAM devrait être suffisant. Bien sûr, plus est toujours mieux.

+Lubuntu 18.10 n’était pas prête pour le décollage, mais la 19.04 l’est. LXQt semble frais, et nouveau, et tout fonctionne comme il faut dès l’installation ; elle se lance très bien même d’une session live sur DVD. Je n’ai rien trouvé dans la 19.04 qui a besoin d’être corrigé. S’il n’y avait pas la période de neuf mois de support pour cette publication normale, elle aurait pu être une version à support à long terme, au moins pour ce qui concerne la qualité de l’expérience utilisateur et l’absence de bugs.
