 Let me start with what I did not like – no program is perfect. When I minimize the application, it does not sit in my taskbar (I use XFCE). I would have liked taskbar integration, for those times that I need all my screen real estate. Also, other than just sitting in my dock, it does nothing; what I mean is, a play or pause would have been great, not just a launcher. When opening your “radio stations” tab, it may have been nice to include one or two. Also right-clicking inside the main window of the radio station main window, does not give you the option to add a station right there. Neither does the “podcasts” tab. Mouse-wheel scrolling on the volume button would have been nice. Do not click the “maximize” button while in mini mode. *cringe.

The performance hit on my potato laptop is tiny. I am sure this will play fine on a raspberry pi 1! The shortcut keys are actually very handy and intuitive. Ctrl+P is play, for instance. (Don’t worry, we will fill you in on those afterwards).

Cependant, avec Goggles où je peux la redimensionner jusqu'à presque rien, je n'en ai presque pas besoin. Quelques thèmes y sont intégrés, mais GogglesMM vous donne la possibilité de les personnaliser. Un double clic sur n'importe quel bloc de couleur affichera une roue de couleur et vous pouvez devenir fou. L'ajout d'une pochette personnalisée se fait également tout simplement avec un clic droit ; « chercher pochette » lance vos navigateur et moteur de recherche préférés pour qu'ils fassent le boulot. Tout le reste fonctionne comme annoncé, sans vous donner l'impression d'être submergé par une surcharge d'informations. Je suis un gars simple qui, quand j'ai besoin d'un lecteur de musique, a besoin d'un lecteur de musique, pas d'un lave-linge, un sèche-linge ou un désosseur de poulet avec un éclairage RGB. Le fait qu'il joue directement vers ALSA est sympa, car je peux l'envoyer vers mes dispositifs de sorties, disons dans la cuisine pendant que je fais la vaisselle. Quand je l'utilise sur mon ordinateur portable, il est parfois agréable de pouvoir voir le temps joué, ainsi que le temps restant, car je l'utilise comme un chronomètre grossier, ce que je préfère à l'approche d'autres lecteurs.

 Now obviously, if you need milkdrop visualizations, need to keep an eye on the VU meter at all times, play tunes by mood, or need to know the bit rate at all times, this is not for you... But for everything else, there is mastercard, right?

+Jusqu'ici, GogglesMM coche presque toutes mes cases : il lit tout, il scrobble, il se connecte directement à ALSA, ce qui signifie que le contrôle de volume de l'OS et celui de GogglesMM sont les mêmes, et, enfin, il a un mode mini. La baisse de performance sur mon vieux portable est minuscule et je suis certain qu'il fonctionnera parfaitement sur un Raspberry Pi 1 ! Les touches de raccourci sont en fait très utiles et intuitives. Ctrl + P est « play » (lecture), par exemple. (Ne vous inquiétez pas, nous vous en donnerons les détails après.)
+Bien évidemment, si vous avez besoin de visualisations de gouttes de lait, si vous devez regarder le VUmètre tout le temps, lire des mélodies suivant l'ambiance ou connaître le débit binaire à chaque seconde, ce n'est pas pour vous... Mais pour tout le reste, les cartes de crédit existent, non ?
