With music... How would I do that? Enter PhotostoryX, only it is now Photofilmstrip and not to be confused with the website of the same name. I found the application in the software centre, but I saw a “never” at “updated”. Mmm I thought, let me give it a go. Issues ‘n tissues. Like missing buttons. (see image)

J’ai trouvé l’appli dans le Centre de logiciels, mais j’ai vu « jamais » à côté de « mise à jour ». Hmmm, je pensais, je l’essayerai quand même. Des problèmes, comme des boutons qui manquent (voir l’image), et des larmes.

 I went to the sourceforge page and grabbed a .deb-file of version 3.7. This seemed to work. (The download is a .deb-file, so no building from scratch.)

+Je suis allé sur la page sourceforge où j’ai récupéré un fichier .deb de la version 3.7. Celle-ci semblait fonctionner. (C’est un fichier .deb qui est téléchargé, donc pas besoin de le compiler à partir de zéro.)

Le mouvement peut aussi être « retardé » - il n’y en a pas au départ, ce qui vous laisse le temps de bien regarder l’image, « accélérée » - accélère et ralentit et « linéaire », avec une vitesse constante de mouvement. Les effets de transition sont aucun, disparaître et rouler. Je suis sûr que vous pouvez voir où cela se trouve et, à côté, il y a le temps que ça devrait prendre. La boîte des sous-titres vous permet d’ajouter des descriptions des gens ou des lieux, comme « Le 90e anniversaire de Grandma ». Le panneau du bas comporte l’ordre des photos et c’est aussi facile que de les glisser-déplacer. Vous pouvez aussi utiliser les boutons déplacer et supprimer à la droite de la bande de votre film. La rotation peut être, soit dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre, soit dans le sens contraire ; les icônes peuvent dérouter les utilisateurs d’Android.

+**PhotoFilmStrip is a very user-friendly, easy application to use. I now have my photos running as a screen saver with soft music playing as I am running VLC full screen. Very soothing. I also tested it on my older PC with a 4:3 display and it works like a charm! Komorebi is forgotten. I have to try this on the raspberry pi soon. I suspect it could make a nice digital photo frame. If anyone out there in FCM land has a spare $5 Raspberry Pi Zero you would like to donate for a project, mail me on: misc@fullcirclemagazine.org or find me on Telegram @EriktheUnready. (local pi-shop has a one, pi zero per customer policy, at $189, unless I want to pay $300+ for one from somewhere else.)**

+L’application PhotoFilmStrip est très conviviale et très facile à utiliser. Maintenant, mes photos se lancent comme un économiseur d’écran, avec une musique douce pendant que je fais tourner VLC en plein écran. C’est très apaisant. Je l’ai également testé sur mon PC vieillissant avec un affichage 4:3 et cela fonctionne extrêmement bien ! Komorebi est oubliée. Il faut que je l’essaie sur un Raspberry Pi bientôt. Je pense qu’il pourrait faire un cadre de photos numériques sympa. Si quelqu’un dans le pays du FCM veut donner un Raspberry Pi Zero de $5 dont il ne se sert pas pour un projet, envoyez-moi un mail à misc@fullcirclemagazine.org ou trouvez-moi sur Telegram @EriktheUnready.
