+L’un des domaines où je pense que l’informatique de nos jours rate le coche est dans la possibilité d’utiliser l’ordinateur comme un outil éducatif. Il est vrai que cette idée peut être affectée par le fait que je n'ai fait aucune sorte d’études depuis presque 30 ans, mais je peux dire que BEAUCOUP des applications qui se trouvaient sur les ordinateurs au début des PC domestiques abordables étaient des programmes éducatifs d’un type ou d'un autre, surtout dans l’ère des 8-bit. Si vous étiez propriétaire d’un Commodore, TRS-80/Tandy, Atari, Coleco Adam, Texas Instruments, Sinclair, MSX,  Apple II, ou autre ordinateur 8-bit, il y avait d’excellentes chances que vous tapiez des programmes en BASIC et BEAUCOUP de programmeurs BASIC publiaient des logiciels éducatifs ou ludo-éducatifs.

 In the Synaptics Package Manager window, click Search at the top and type in Kalzium. Once the application finds Kalzium, click the box for both the application and its selection of data (see image below)

+Pour pouvoir installer à partir du gestionnaire de paquets Synaptic, vous devez chercher un symbole qui ressemble à un dossier sur lequel est superposée une flèche verte pointée vers le bas, sur la Barre de contrôle à gauche.
+Dans la fenêtre de Synaptic, cliquez en haut sur Rechercher et tapez Kalzium. Une fois que l'application trouve Kalzium, cliquez sur la case pour, en même temps, l'application et sa sélection de données (voir l'image ci-dessous).

+L'application KDE Marble affiche une représentation d'un globe du monde :
+En faisant tourner le globe avec ma souris et en me servant de la fonction Zoom représentée sur la droite de l'écran, j'ai trouvé mon dernier appartement à Plano, TX (une banlieue de Dallas), jusqu'à l'immeuble lui-même sur le globe avec Open Street Map (au milieu).
+Il y a des représentations fascinantes du globe, comme Earth at Night (la terre la nuit) qui affiche les lumières des villes de la Terre et la carte historique de 1689 (Historical Map 1689 - en haut à droite).
+Vous y trouverez aussi des cartes des précipitations et des températures, ainsi que la cartographie politique. Tout compte fait, il s'agit d'une application utile et intéressante avec des capacités impressionnantes !
