+Oui, j’exécutais pas mal d’extensions, mais cela arrivait aussi quand les extensions de Gnome Shell n’avaient été ni démarrées, ni chargées. Comprenez-moi, s’il vous plaît, je NE critique PAS Ubuntu. Il reste mon OS préféré, avec l’environnement de bureau Gnome. Mais, pour moi, les problèmes étaient devenus beaucoup trop ennuyeux.

+Après quelques minutes, l’installation s'est terminée. Je me suis déconnecté d'Ubuntu, puis je me suis connecté et j’ai choisi Ubuntu MATE. L’OS s’est chargé extrêmement rapidement ! Le bureau MATE m’a accueilli et ressemblait presque exactement à Ubuntu 10.04 (avant le dock Ubuntu).

 There are so many applets to customize MATE. I chose the Pantheon theme, with the Plank dock. Note that the Clock/weather widget is supplied by My Weather Indicator, and the CPU/RAM widget is supplied by Conky and Conky Manager.

You can have the top panel set with the MATE application menu and the indicators for running programs, as well as a panel on the bottom of the desktop. You can choose from one that works like a MAC with the top bar displaying the options available for the particular program. There is also one that resembles the Windows 9 and 10 taskbar and Menu of applications. The small Ubuntu MATE logo at the top-left is the applications menu. (I removed the word menu to keep it cleaner, in my opinion).

+Il y a beaucoup de choix de thèmes. Vraiment beaucoup ! Vous pouvez changer presque tout aspect dans les fenêtres, les icônes, les bordures de fenêtres et le pointeur. Vous pouvez également choisir parmi plusieurs panneaux intégrés. +Le bureau façon rétro me plaît beaucoup et j’aime la version complètement modernisée d’Ubuntu qui est MATE.

+Tout compte fait, les performances et l’apparence d’Ubuntu MATE me conviennent parfaitement.
