 A: I use nethogs, it is very rudimentary, but you can see what apps are communicating and how fast. You can dig deeper if you like, systemctl status systemd-networkd will net you the status of your WiFi card and you can see if it disconnects.  A: I don’t know the answer, but I can tell you how to see. Copy your hard drive image to another device and spin it up there. Simply click on the “ADD” button in virtualbox and select the vdi.  A: The “clean” refers to a flag set on NTFS. To have that flag set, do a disk-check on Windows, let it complete, then hold shift and shut it down (see above). This actually shuts down Windows as opposed to some hybrid sleep thing. Now you should not have an issue installing Ubuntu. A: The “clean” refers to a flag set on NTFS.  A: No, it is not a bug. What is happening is that if your headphones were directly in your laptop USB, it would detect fine. The fact of the matter is that the dock is connected and that gets detected, but the dock is not pass-through, the Dell docks are a mini PC in themselves. Once the connection is established, then only things start happening. By the time it is established that there are USB devices connected, your laptop has already looked and saw no other USB devices, so it chose the best for you. You can test this by connecting a USB mouse and you will see it starts moving only once all the handshaking is done. If you want immediate action, consider a simple pass-through dock. A: No, it is not a bug. What is happening is that if your headphones were directly in your laptop USB, it would detect fine. You can test this by connecting a USB mouse and you will see it starts moving only once all the handshaking is done. If you want immediate action, consider a simple pass-through dock.

 +Q : Quand mon Ubuntu 22.04 (je l’ai testé aussi dans la 20.04) se réveille, mon casque (Logitech USB) connecté à mon dock Dell (WD-15) n’est plus l’entrée/sortie du son par défaut. Ainsi, si mon portable lisait une vidéo YouTube et j’en ai fermé le couvercle, dès son réouverture, l’audio vient via les haut-parleurs du portable au lieu du casque. C’est vraiment irritant quand je réponds à un appel sur Skype. Est-ce qu’il s’agit d’un bogue ?

 +R : Non. Si votre casque était branché directement sur un port USB de votre portable, il serait détecté comme il faut. Mais, en fait, c’est le dock qui est connecté et détecté, mais le dock n’est pas un simple « pass-through », car les docks Dell sont des mini-PC. Ce n’est que quand la connexion est établie que des choses se passent. Quand enfin, les dispositifs USB connectés sont visibles, votre portable a déjà cherché d’autres dispositifs USB, sans en trouver, et a fait ce qu’il pensait être le meilleur choix pour vous. Vous pouvez vérifier cela en connectant une souris sur un port USB du dock et vous verrez que la souris n’est détectée qu’une fois que tout le dock a été analysé. Si vous voulez une action immédiate, il faudrait envisager un simple dock « pass-through ».

J’ai fait l’installation en anglais, mais je ne peux pas changer cette appli. De plus, la distrib. reste en chinois, sans jamais être en anglais. Même si je change les options de langage au portugais, rien ne change. Je me sens bête maintenant.

 +R : Il ne faut pas. Comme l’indique leur énoncé de mission, Ubuntu Kylin est spécifiquement pour les gens qui parlent chinois. Il est probable que l’appli météo n’ait pas de traduction. Vous pouvez lire qu’il s’agit d’un projet international, mais ça ne l’est pas ; il utilise tout simplement des dépôts internationaux. Jusqu’à ce qu’il y ait un effort pour le rendre accessible à tous, si vous voulez l’utiliser, il faut apprendre le chinois.
