 **I would like to mention the sticky in the desktop environments section of Ubuntu Forums as it is a nice list of resources for new users interested in customizing their desktops [1]. I mention this because many of the questions I have answered could have been avoided by using this resource.

 J'aimerais mentionner la FAQ dans la section d'environnements de bureau d'Ubuntu Forums, puisque c'est une bonne liste de ressources pour les nouveaux utilisateurs désireux de personnaliser leur bureau [1]. J'en parle parce que beaucoup des questions auxquelles j'ai répondu aurait pu être évitées si les gens s'étaient servi de cette ressource.
-On se sent vachement bien quand on aide à autre utilisateur d'Ubuntu et quand ils sont fiers de mettre une capture d'écran de leur bureau personnalisé en ligne ou vous envoient un message de remerciements, on se sent encore mieux.

-I have tried, on many occasions, to convince my work colleagues to use Ubuntu but they have their head in the sand and stay with XP. However, recently my grandson showed me an article that had been presented at his school related to Linux. It was extremely well written and listed the advantages of Linux in the classroom. I was very surprised to read such an article and asked who had written it. It was amazingly my grandson which was all the more surprising as he is only nine years old.

Je ne me considère pas comme étant un expert en informatique et je suis obligé d'accepter cet état de fait par quelques articles dans le FCM qui me laissent loin derrière. Ce qui est vrai et qu'il faut accepter est la courbe d'apprentissage indéniable. Je me souviens de ma toute première installation d'Ubuntu et le message qui me disait qu'il fallait exécuter une commande dans un terminal. À cet époque-là, c'était déroutant, mais, maintenant, ce n'est pas un problème.

+À de nombreuses occasions, j'ai essayé de convaincre mes collègues de travail d'utiliser Ubuntu, mais ils ont la tête dans le sable et restent avec XP. Récemment, cependant, mon petit-fils m'a montré un article en rapport avec Linux qu'on avait présenté à son école. C'était extrêmement bien écrit et  énumérait les avantages de Linux dans une salle de classe. J'étais plus qu'étonné de lire un tel article et j'ai demandé qui l'avait écrit.
