 SB: Newcomers need to remember that they do not need to be a developer to get involved - that's the barrier that I hit.

+SB : Mon rôle principal dans la communauté Ubuntu est d'aider les nouveaux arrivants à trouver leur place dans la communauté et de créer un réseau de relations avec les femmes (Ubuntu Women) et les scientifiques (Ubuntu Scientists) pour améliorer le monde des Logiciels Libres.
+J'aide aussi l'équipe de la documentation Ubuntu à maintenir à jour le Wiki d'aide de la communauté Ubuntu.

+Je recommanderais aux nouveaux arrivants de ne pas penser qu'ils devraient être développeurs et de suivre ces étapes : ils doivent commencer petit, rejoindre l'équipe/le projet et sa liste de diffusion, s'assurer de lire toute la documentation de l'équipe/du projet choisi et se présenter à l'équipe en utilisant les listes de diffusion. Le meilleur itinéraire - s'ils ne connaissent pas leurs compétences ou quel équipe/projet rejoindre - est de prendre contact avec leur communauté locale et de demander sur leur liste de diffusion ou leur canal IRC.

 SB: The main thing is the lack of Ubuntu Recruitment/Promo /Comms teams where the new folks can join and ask what teams/projects they can put their skills into. The other flavors have these teams but Ubuntu does not.

+EKJ : Quels points d'amélioration du projet Ubuntu pensez-vous nécessaires dans son accueil des nouveaux ?
+SB : Le principal manque est l'absence d'équipes Ubuntu de recrutement/promotion/communication que les nouveaux venus pourraient contacter pour leur demander dans quels projets ou équipes s'intégrer en fonction de leurs compétences. Les autres saveurs Linux ont ces équipes, mais pas Ubuntu.

+Je pratique des activités artistiques de temps en temps et je joue à mon jeu favori, l'unique jeu Donjons et Dragons multi-utilisateurs, Armaggedon MUD.
