Welcome to another issue of Full Circle. No Python this month, I'm afraid, but we still have LibreOffice, part two of the VAX-VMS tutorial, Inkscape, part three of my 3D printer build, and lots of other goodies. Standing in for Python we have an interesting article on running a full system from a USB stick. I've changed the section on Ubuntu Phones to now read Ubuntu Devices since Canonical and BQ have announced that an Ubuntu tablet, the M10, will be available either at the end of March or beginning of April. I'm hoping to get a unit for review as soon as they're available. I'm looking forward to it as this will be the first official convergence device. You can read more about it in that section. Speaking of Ubuntu Touch, don't forget that we have an official Full Circle app. No, not the webapp that I made. That one is discontinued. This one is by Brian Douglass, is a native app, and allows you to browse through available issues, download, and read them. And all on your Touch device! Just search for 'full circle' in the Ubuntu Store. The Full Circle Weekly News show seems to have been well received. What I've been doing is recording the news items as Arnfried is sending me them. Then, compiling them into a final show MP3 which I've been releasing on Saturday mornings (UK time). Within a day, or two, each seems to get a couple of thousand plays. Which is great. Bienvenue dans ce nouveau numéro du Full Circle.
J'ai bien peur que nous n'ayons pas de tutoriel Python ce mois-ci, mais nous avons : Libre Office, la deuxième partie du tutoriel VAX-VMS, Inkscape, le troisième volet de ma construction d'une imprimante 3D et d'autres très bonnes choses. À la place de Python, nous avons un article intéressant décrivant comment faire fonctionner un système complet sur une clé USB.
J'ai changé le titre de la rubrique « Téléphones Ubuntu » pour « Dispositifs Ubuntu » puisque Canonical et BQ ont annoncé la sortie de la tablette Ubuntu, la M10, pour fin mars/début avril. J'espère en obtenir un exemplaire dès sa sortie pour en faire une critique. Je l'attends avec impatience car ce sera le premier appareil officiel de convergence. Vous pourrez en apprendre un peu plus en lisant la rubrique.
En parlant d'Ubuntu Touch, n'oubliez pas que le Full Circle dispose d'une appli officielle. Non, pas l'application Web que j'ai faite. Elle est désormais abandonnée. Celle dont je parle est une appli native, créée par Brian Douglass. Elle permet de feuilleter les éditions disponibles, de les télécharger et de les lire. Et tout cela sur votre appareil tactile ! Faites simplement une recherche de « full circle » dans l'Ubuntu Store.
Le Full Circle Weekly News (hebdomadaire audio sur Ubuntu) semble avoir été bien accueilli. Mon travail consiste à enregistrer les nouvelles informations qu'Arnfried m'envoie. Puis je compile le tout dans une émission finale en MP3 que je mets en ligne le samedi matin (heure anglaise). Il semble bien que l'émission soit écoutée environ deux milliers de fois en l'espace d'un ou deux jours. Ce qui est super. Si vous l'avez écoutée, dites-moi ce que vous en pensez, s'il vous plaît.
