Welcome to the latest issue of Full Circle

Happy birthday to all! This month marks SIXTEEN YEARS of Full Circle! Incredible.

This month we're overflowing with; Python, Latex, FreeCAD, Inkscape and more on Stable Diffusion. Elsewhere, we have a couple of interesting articles. One on whether Apple devices are still relevant for us Linux users and the other on whether ChatGPT is up to the task of writing LibreOffice code. I wonder if ChatGPT can make Full Circle for me? Probably not. Having said that, I'm sure it'd be better than me at spotting all my mistakes.

This month brings to a close the 22.10 reviews from Adam. It's almost time to fire up 23.05. All going well, we'll have a review on Ubuntu 23.05 for you next month. To close off 22.10 we have Ubuntu Unity and SpiralLinux. I hadn't heard of SpiralLinux before, but I certainly like the look of it.

With the incoming 23.05 I'm tempted to try KDE again, but I'm swayed away from Kubuntu since it uses those blasted snaps that I hate so much. I have snaps disabled on my current 22.10.

Don't forget: we have a Table of Contents which lists every article from every issue of FCM. Huge thanks to Paul Romano for maintaining: https://goo.gl/tpOKqm and, if you're looking for some help, advice, or just a chinwag: remember that we have a Telegram group: https://t.me/joinchat/24ec1oMFO1ZjZDc0. I hope to see you there. Come and say hello.

All the best for 2023! Ronnie ronnie@fullcirclemagazine.org
