Blurb: “The world has already been saved. Now it's time to rebuild your town, learn new hobbies, and forge lifelong friendships in this peaceful and relaxing RPG”.

Think Stardew Valley with big chunky characters and that’s a good start.

Intro

The game starts with your character waking up to be told that you saved the world, but you can’t remember a damn thing. Now, it’s up to you and the villagers to rebuild the village.

Building

In true RPG style, you can talk to the village residents, and (in true RPG style) they move the story forward by explaining things and giving you your first jobs to get you into the game.

What makes this different from Stardew Valley et al is that you can, at any time, alter the layout of the village by raising and lowering land, moving trees, and the like.

Like other games of this ilk, you have to gather resources and craft items, collect and sell items (including fishing), and to help you in your endeavours, you can ‘hang out’ with a villager – where they’ll follow you around the village and help in gathering things.

Controls

You control your character (and the menus) with the WASD keys, and use ESC to bring up the menu which grants you access to ITEMS, BUILD MODE, JOURNAL etc. Using something (or selecting a menu item) is done using SPACE. Nothing complicated here.

Time

Again, like similar games, you have a day cycle that is advanced either by plodding along until it’s dark, or you can sleep to go into the next day. Your menu has access to the calendar which is marked with various reminders. Certain fish/bugs can be caught only at certain times of the day/month/year, and, obviously, some things are worth more than others to sell.

Conclusion

Fair warning in case you think about buying this game: it looks like (from Steam comments) that this game has been abandoned by the developers. It’s fine. It works. But just don’t expect updates (it seems). Which is a shame, as I’m sure there’s more they could have added. That aside: this is a great little game. It’s soothing and peaceful. There isn’t any rush, and the island modding from the start is a great idea.

I have to deduct a star for it being abandoned.
