Advertising ransomware as Thunderbird mail client: 03/10/2023 The developers of the Thunderbird project warned users about the appearance of ads offering to install ready-made collections of the Thunderbird mail client in the Google advertising network. Release of OpenSSH 9.5: 05/10/2023 The release of OpenSSH 9.5, open implementation of the client and server for SSH 2.0 and SFTP protocols has been published. Main changes are to the ssh-keygen. The cracking resistance for Ed25519 is about 2×128 (on average, the attack on Ed25519 will require 2×140 bit operations), which corresponds to the resistance of algorithms such as NIST P-256 and RSA with a key size of 375 bytes or 128-bit block ciphers.
