As noted previously, I begin and end with prompts to show the ease of creating images. I normally create 20 images and choose what I deem the most appropriate. You may not want to make an exact copy of an image and different machines are unlikely to make the same image with the original prompt.

In part ten of An Introduction to Stable Diffusion, we will look the sd-webui-infinite-image-browsing extension (IIB) on the Automatic1111 interface of Stable Diffusion 1.0. It is one extension you will use no matter how much or little experience you have. As the name implies, you can go back in time to look at all of your images – an impressive feat after wondering if you have hundreds or tens of thousands of created images. If that is not enough reason, you can search for specific images using a variety of parameters. You can install IIB by selecting the Extensions tab in the Automatic1111 interface. As explained in the previous Part 8 and 9 of this series l aways check for updates first and then Apply and Restart the UI. You can then find and install the IIB extension from the extension list of those not installed and restart the program. You will then notice the IIB tab (red arrow, next page top left) in the Automatic1111 interface as shown. Upon selecting the IIB tab, you will need to let it search and index your images. You may need to select the appropriate directory for that to happen. It searches very quickly and should only take a few seconds unless you have hundreds of thousands of images. At that point you can scroll back through your images similar to what is shown (below).

Selecting an image using IIB provides helpful information about the image as shown (top right). Of course with many images, it becomes tedious to search by scrolling and fortunately there is another helpful option. If you know something about the image in question, you can use the image search. In the example shown, I started typing in “papercut” in the Match Any input box, but it brought up papercut after inputting just paper. Exclude prompts can also help narrowing the search. You will then see images matching your criteria to the right. Ultimately as you create numerous images you might want to think about reorganizing images and image data into groups to make mental searching easier. Deleting or archiving unused images may also make sense as your image number increases.
