Welcome to another issue of Full Circle! As ever, we have a full house with Python, LibreOffice, Blender and Inkscape HowTo's. They're joined by a quick article on Lazarus – an IDE for the Pascal programming language. As the writer says, it's not the most well used of languages, but it's definitely still in use. Last month's Software Showdown was on F-spot and Shotwell to help you organise your photographs. This month, it continues with a look at the fully featured behemoth, digiKam. If you need editing and geolocation features, then digiKam could be the one you're looking for. If you've ever fancied having a media center in your household, then you may want to take a look at my review of Instant XMBC. It's a short, and pretty cheap, book – written by our own Linux Labs writer, Charles McColm. If you want to play/stream anything throughout your house then XBMC is probably what you'll want. Comme toujours, nous voilà avec une maisonnée de tutoriels Python, LibreOffice, Blender et Inkscape. Ils sont rejoints par un court article sur Lazarus (un EDI pour le langage Pascal). Comme le dit son auteur, ce n'est pas le langage le plus utilisé, mais on s'en sert quand même encore.
La comparaison du mois dernier portait sur F-spot et Shotwell pour vous aider à organiser vos photos. Ce mois-ci, on continue en examinant un Béhémoth rempli de fonctions, digiKam. Si vous voulez des fonctions d'édition et de géolocalisation, digiKam pourrait être ce que vous cherchez.
Si vous avez déjà voulu avoir un centre multimédia chez vous, allez jeter un œil sur ma critique de Instant XBMC. C'est un petit bouquin, pas très cher, écrit par notre propre auteur du Labo Linux, Charles McColm. Si vous voulez lire ou diffuser quelque chose partout dans votre maison, alors XBMC est probablement ce que vous voulez. Et c'est un standard dans XBMCbuntu. Pratique !
