J'ai maintenant Linux Mint 13 (basé sur Ubuntu 12.04) et Xubuntu 15.10. Entre les deux, il y a eu pas mal de versions qui n'étaient pas stables sur mon matériel, y compris la 14.04. J'espère pouvoir mettre à niveau vers la 16.04 et y rester un certain temps. Je sais qu'il y a eu beaucoup de travail sur le noyau et les distribs, mais la seule amélioration qui m'est utile est la possibilité de brancher mon téléphone et le voir comme disque flash.
  
-Revenons à 2016, avec Xubuntu 15.10 sur le même matériel. Ça marche! La clé USB 3.0 est presqu'aussi rapide qu'un disque interne, ce qui permet de faire des sauvegardes bien plus rapidement.+**When Ubuntu adopted the Unity interface, I decided it was not for me. I have heard Xubuntu described as "lightweight," but I haven't noticed any missing functionality. Mais essayez d'abord la dernière version publiée.+Quand Ubuntu a adopté l'interface Unity, j'ai décidé que ce n'était pas mon truc. C'est depuis lors que j'utilise Mint ou Xubuntu pour faire des choses. (J'essaie toujours une distrib/version par mois en moyenne.) J'entends décrire Xubuntu comme étant « léger », mais je n'ai pas remarqué de fonctionnalité manquante. Il faut un peu plus de travail pour paramétrer des partages sur le réseau, mais je réussis aussi à faire des trucs très complexes dans ce domaine.
  
 +Dans un proche avenir, la mise à niveau la plus vraisemblable sera une connexion plus rapide au Net. Pour ce qui concerne le matériel informatique et les logiciels, je ne vois rien pour lequel je pourrais dire « j'aimerais acheter... ».
