Not the squeamish type, I went in and repaired the printer. I came out to find a deathly pale technician in dry heaves. I popped him in the back of the vehicle and went back to the office. Ceci et l'odeur pourrie omniprésente de la tannerie ont fait que le technicien confirmé s'est penché et a perdu son déjeuner. Il était si violemment malade que j'ai dû le porter pour sortir. N'étant pas du genre délicat, je suis retourné à l'intérieur et j'ai réparé l'imprimante. Dès ma sortie, j'ai découvert le technicien pâle comme un linge et pris par des hauts-le-cœur secs. Je l'ai mis à l'arrière du véhicule et suis retourné au bureau. C'était le premier jour où je faisais ce boulot ET ma première promotion au poste de technicien de service sur site. Ce que j'essaie de vous communiquer ici, est que, parfois, il y a des choses que vous ne voulez pas faire, mais que le fait de les faire peut apporter des récompenses inattendues. Si votre système tombe en panne, n'ayez pas peur de vous retrousser les manches et d'essayer de le réparer. Vous pouviez en apprendre davantage sur Linux et sur les ordinateurs en général que vous n'auriez jamais imaginé.

 A: According to the Ubuntu manpages (http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/bionic/man1/budgie-run-dialog.1.html) this is still the case, but I see what you mean. I use F12 to start Tilix to quickly run a command. You can assign any keys you would like in the keyboard settings, should you want to change them. If you really need a shell only, switch TTY with ctrl+alt+F2.

First things first, check your hard drive for errors using a program such as GSmartControl, it may be error free, but may be old, where there are retries reading sectors. If it is a desktop PC, check to see if the SATA cables bend more than 90 degrees. Also check that the modes are correct.

 A: 502 error on a web page is a gateway error. Error 502 on email is another beast. I would suggest you update Zimbra first and if that does not work, get your ISP's direct mail server address should you be sending via a subdomain.

 A: I have a question of my own: Why are you still on Ubuntu 12.04? There is no reason to be. Rather upgrade to 18.04 and enjoy the benefits. If you have an application that runs only in 12.04, use Virtualbox and install 12.04 in there. The problem with VLC on Ubuntu 12.04 is, if you want the latest, you will need to build it yourself. Ubuntu 12.04 no longer receives any updates.

 A: No, Adobe would be my first attack vector. It has more holes than a sieve and there are archives of exploits for it on metasploit. The latest version of document viewer supports encrypted PDF's. You can also try other PDF readers until you find one you like, there is okular, epdf reader, evince, mupdf, etc.

+R : Non : Adobe serait mon premier vecteur d'attaque. Il a plus de trous qu'une passoire et il y a des archives d'exploits le concernant sur metasploit. La toute dernière version de la visionneuse de documents prend en charge les PDF cryptés. Vous pouvez également essayer d'autres visionneurs de PDF pour en trouver un qui vous plaît ; il y a, notamment, okular, epdf reader, evince, mupdf, etc.

 A: Most Lenovo laptops are made for Windows only, and Lenovo locks down their BIOS's so that you can not install a friendlier Linux-compatible WiFi card. Restarting the laptop or WiFi router will solve the issue. If your laptop accepts a proprietary driver for WiFi, use that. Should you have the proprietary driver installed, uninstall it and test. You could alternatively also replace the Wifi card with a decent one, just do your homework first.
