The explanation of the terms used in blender-speak, or should that be graphic design-speak, was top notch. Should any new user feel lost, they can always come back to the beginning of the book and look up a term.

Imagine having to pay 2000 EUR for a book, well, guess I’m not buying one. Man, I really miss those pop-up book stores that would sell books by weight!

Trust me, now I also know what a boolean modifier is and it is not what I thought it was. Once my shift work is over, I will definitely transfer some of this knowledge when I continue our “make something with blender” tutorials and I am sure it will speed up my workflow when I know what I am looking for , instead of me trying to find the thing I don’t know the name of in: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/3.4/index.html

+Quand ils disent que le livre présente l'interface graphique, ils ne plaisantent pas ; ils expliquent ce que signifient des mots comme boutons et curseurs, puis passent à l'utilisation des boutons d'une fenêtre, comme fermer... « Le livre fournit des instructions pour les nouveaux utilisateurs, en commençant par le tout début. » J'ai trouvé que c'était un peu exagéré, car au début, on suppose que vous savez utiliser un ordinateur. L'explication des termes utilisés dans le langage de Blender, ou plutôt dans le langage de la conception graphique, était de premier ordre. Si un nouvel utilisateur se sent perdu, il peut toujours revenir au début du livre et chercher un terme.

+Ensuite, le chapitre quatre se lance vraiment en expliquant des choses comme les mesures linéaires et les mesures angulaires. Cette explication approfondie se poursuit au chapitre 5, où sont expliqués les vertices, les arêtes et les faces. Dans aucun de ces chapitres, vous ne fabriquez quoi que ce soit, mais je recommanderais ce livre à tous ceux qui n'ont aucune idée de ce que tout cela signifie et de comment les choses s'emboîtent (ça veut dire moi!). J'ai pris Blender à partir d'un document texte et je me suis amusé, car à l'époque, j'avais une connexion internet 3G de mauvaise qualité à 20 ko/s, donc des choses comme Youtube étaient hors de question. La taille de cet ebook aurait également été hors de question, mais c'est l'une de ces choses que l'on aurait aimé avoir quand on a commencé.

Imaginez que vous deviez payer 2 000 euros pour un livre, eh bien, je suppose que vous n'en achèteriez pas. Les bouquinistes qui vendaient les livres au poids me manquent vraiment !

+Si vous êtes un tant soit peu intéressé par Blender, et que vous avez besoin d'un guide pour les nuls (celui-ci surpasse de loin le livre des nuls !), c'est le livre qu'il vous faut. Croyez-moi, je sais maintenant ce qu'est un modificateur booléen et ce n'est pas ce que je pensais. Une fois mon travail de quart terminé, je transférerai certainement quelques-unes de ces connaissances lorsque je poursuivrai nos tutoriels « faire quelque chose avec blender » et je suis sûr que cela accélérera mon flux de travail lorsque je saurai ce que je cherche, au lieu d'essayer de trouver la chose dont je ne connais pas le nom dans : https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/3.4/index.html
