Welcome to the 100th issue of Full Circle.

Well, it's finally here. And I still can't believe it. One hundred issues of FCM. Incredible! Again, a big thank you to all who've written for FCM, or help in the background with proof reading or translation. Without you kind folks we wouldn't be here.

For this issue I thought we'd go off the beaten path for a change. The theme is somewhat retrospective. What was Ubuntu like years ago? How did you get into Ubuntu (or Linux)? Has Ubuntu changed things for you? Read on. It's a bumper issue. Almost double the norm.

Alan Ward starts off this issue with a look back at the grand daddy of them all, Warty (4.10). We still have some HowTo articles for you, though. So fear not. Two new series start this month. The first is on building a website from scratch. And we mean from nothing. This series will take you from setting up an infrastructure to finally getting a site online. The second is more historical. SJ Webb is starting with those early days of room sized computers and discusses the earliest (allbeit harmless) viruses. I've written a couple of articles discussing the FCM site, comparing 2007 to 2014, revealing the results of your most loved/hated *buntu releases, how Linux is used in several different industries, and telling you my story of how I got into Ubuntu.

The big news this month regarding Ubuntu phones is that BQ is now shipping the Aquaris E4.5 and E5HD worldwide! So all you folks outside of the EU can now buy one. Just check the hardware specs against what's available in your part of the world.

All the best, keep in touch, and here's to another 100 issues! Ronnie ronnie@fullcirclemagazine.org
