I use Mint 13 with the standard gnome 3 shell. The calendar and mem/cpu meter are screenlets. I like the 'bare' look of the standard gnome. I hate icons or fancy menus on the desktop. Less is more. From this you will gather that I absolutely hate the look of KDE! Ian Pawson
J'utilise Mint 13 avec le shell Gnome 3 standard. Le calendrier et moniteur de la mémoire/utilisation du CPU sont des screenlets. J'aime le look « nu » de ce Gnome standard. Je déteste les icônes ou les menus fantaisistes sur le bureau. Moins il y en a et mieux c'est.
Ainsi, vous comprenez que je déteste absolument le look de KDE !

This desktop screenshot is from my home computer, running Ubuntu 10.04 on an Intel D945GCPE board with a Core 2 Duo 6320 proc at 1.86Ghz, onboard graphics card and 2 GiB RAM. 3 internal HDD of sizes 320GB, 500GB and 750GB, all of them WD, and two external HDD each of them of 1TB, one Toshiba and the other Seagate. The modem is an Agere Systems Lucent V.92. GNOME 2.30 Desktop Environment with some modifications. I think my Desktop isn't pretty and is very unorganized, but it can show that in Linux you can do things your way, no questions asked, regardless of the unholy mess you prefer. Aliet Expósito García

Je pense que mon bureau n'est pas joli et est très désorganisé, mais il peut montrer que, sous Linux, vous pouvez faire les choses à votre façon, sans avoir à la justifier, quel que soit l'ordre/désordre que vous préférez.
