It's surprising how often the question comes up, “how can I uninstall Ubuntu?” The glib answer is that you don't need to uninstall it, just run gparted from the install media and wipe the partition. Sadly, in many cases where you are dual-booting, that is not a good solution. If grub has become the boot manager, you probably need to Google “change grub defaults” and follow the instructions you find on Askubuntu to make something other than Ubuntu the default. Then you can run gparted, or the Windows partitioner. The other approach is to redo the installation, or some other installation, correcting whatever caused you to want to uninstall. KDE was too heavy for your old computer? Try Xubuntu.

La fréquence avec laquelle la question est posée est étonnante : « comment désinstaller Ubuntu ? » La réponse désinvolte est que vous n'avez pas besoin de le désinstaller, il suffit de lancer gparted à partir du média d'installation et purger la partition.
Malheureusement, dans de nombreux cas où il y a un double amorçage, ce n'est pas une bonne solution. Si grub est devenu le gestionnaire de démarrage, il faudrait sans doute rechercher « changer les options par défaut de grub » sur Google, puis suivre les instructions trouvées sur Askubuntu pour faire qu'un système autre qu'Ubuntu soit le système par défaut. Ensuite, vous pouvez lancer gparted ou le logiciel de partitionnement de Windows.
L'autre possibilité est de refaire l'installation, ou installer autre chose, tout en corrigeant ce qui vous a fait vouloir désinstaller. KDE était trop lourd pour votre vieil ordinateur ? Essayez Xubuntu.
