 I have quite a few programs that I run on my PC – many of them equal to or better than their Windows/Mac counterparts. The choices out there are so great, it's hard to write about just one. My favourite part is being able to get an application for free, test it, keep it or look for another that suits me better.

+J'utilise Linux depuis Jaunty. Je voulais essayer Ubuntu, mais j'étais enchaîné à Windows. Toutefois, quand j'ai reçu un tout-en-un sympa avec un grand écran, je me suis lancé. Je ne l'ai jamais regretté et maintenant je profite de Xenial (16.04 LTS).

Les choix qui existent sont tellement géniaux qu'il est difficile d'écrire au sujet d'un seul.  Browse allows you to look at what's trending on Youtube, split into clickable categories. I actually don't use the browse function as I don't usually just surf YouTube – I usually know what I'm looking for, so I use the Search and Subscriptions buttons.

+L'interface est on ne peut plus simple : juste trois boutons pour vous aider à commencer : Search (rechercher), Browse (parcourir) et Subscriptions (abonnements). L'écran de recherches est simple et minimaliste, avec l'auto-complétion pour vous aider à moins taper.

 Playback can be set to auto or manual. I use manual as I don't necessarily want to watch all videos in the order newest-to-oldest. Or not at all. So I choose manual. I also set playback to 720P, as that works well with my 23 inch display and standard video card, GeForce 9300M. The video is crisp even full-screen mode. (Of course if the video is recorded at very low resolution, it likely won't get any better, though in my daily use that is rare).

+Quand vous sélectionnez une miniature, toutes les vidéos sont sur la gauche de l'écran, avec une miniature et le titre, la longueur, etc.
+La lecture (playback) peut être réglée à auto ou manuel. J'utilise le réglage manuel, car je ne veux pas nécessairement regarder toutes les vidéos dans l'ordre de la plus récente à la moins récente. Ou pas du tout. Je choisis donc manuel. En outre, je règle la lecture à 720p puisque cela fonctionne bien avec mon écran de 23" et ma carte vidéo standard, une GeForce 9300M. La vidéo est très nette, même en mode plein écran. (Il va sans dire que, si la vidéo est enregistrée à une très basse résolution il y a de fortes chances qu'elle ne se trouve pas améliorée, bien que ce soit très rare dans mon usage quotidien.)
+Malgré le fait que ce ne soit pas une application exclusivement pour Linux (on l'a portée sous Windows), elle reste libre, mais pas « free as in Beer » (pas gratuite). Vous acceptez le contrat et pouvez faire un don si vous voulez. J'ai payé 10 $. Je l'utilise tous les jours.
